Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
God promises to give you his peace to guard your heart and mind! He also says what he wants you to do so that you don't need to be anxious about anything--pray. And trust--whether your circumstances are good or bad. He wants you to give thanks and stay in touch with him!
Why? Because he is sovereign, loving, powerful, good, and He will never leave or forsake you. He knows and wants what is best for you. He already knows when you are anxious and troubled. He just wants to hear it from you himself! Let him encourage and comfort you today.
Father God, forgive us for worrying and trying to control things ourselves. Please help me to turn my worries into prayer.
